026 Waiting for 1.9

Feel like Mojang's release schedule is messing with your ability to enjoy a new world with the impending release/refresh of the new 1.9 world?  Well. I've been thinking about it and here's how I feel about it.  We can collect, mine and prepare for the release and stow away our goods for the future.  Or, we can do something a little more fun and entertaining.  I'd read that some other servers were temporarily going creative during the pre-release time  period.  This sounds like a good idea, except that when the goods are unlimited, the challenge is faded and the game gets boring pretty fast.

Instead of doing this, Ajent and I have decided that we are going to share our stockpiled goods with the server so we can do some epic building while we wait.  This will make it so that it is fair for all that choose to participate.  The part that may seem edgy is that we will restore our goods on the new server from our old building saves.  This really is a win-win for everyone.  Yes, we are duplicating some goods, but in lieu of all that is missing, I feel it justified to me.  We are still mining, building and collaborating.  That really is the point of the game.  Believe me when i say that just trying to build this would and bring us all together is a ton of work. Plus, i mean...we are going to have to go get it and haul it back from Irontown.   I will still import all of your choosen creations the new world.

Also, I'd  like to hear input on this idea from all of you, good or bad:  I'd like to reintroduce the Wormhole X-Treme plugin that we had on our old server, but would like to hear your opinions about it before I do.  If you have ever seen Stargate SG-1, you should already know what this does (its exactly like the show.)  For those of you who have not, you can read about it here.  Let me know in game what you think.
